ah? yes? you say something?

my first day.
summary of my whole day: blur~
i start the whole day with some briefing, then off to clean the classroom. since today's a school holiday, so it's only daycare.

8.30-11.25am : cleaning, sorting out colour pencils, arrange tables and chairs.
11.25-1.30pm : lunch, rest, bathe the kids, make them have their afternoon nap.
1.30-5.55pm : resume cleaning, sharpened tons of colour pencils, then go back!

i'm not sure on how to blog this so i think i'll just throw in whatever that fly into my head.

scene 1
principle: you must be the teacher's eyes and ears.
me: oh ok. *ah? must pay attention ah? my concentration only can last 5 mins*
principle: you also must know all the nursery rhymes because you'll be singing along and the kids will be looking at your mouth and your actions.
me: oh ok. *har? i only know twinkle twinkle little star*

scene 2
when some kids trying to fool around when i ask for their names

me : what's your name?
phin khong( don't remember) : my name is Low .... .....
Gerald : my name is Low .... ..... (copycat). no no, teacher, my name is Low Uncle.
me : *sweat* har? Low uncle? haha...
Aaron : teacher, teacher. my name is Low Auntie. (laughs)
me : Low Auntie? but you're a boy. how can you be an auntie?
Jenice : (shout from afar) teacher, my name is Low Uncle.

scene 3
Ting Ting : (chewing) teacher, later i want to show you my water bottle.
me : ok, you eat faster then i'll follow you to see your bottle.
Ting Ting : (still chewing in a slow rate)
auntie: Ting Ting! why you today eat so slow? faster finish up.
Ting Ting : (chew in a fast rate)
me : ......

scene 4
Aaron : teacher, i want to pass motion.
me : oh, pass motion ah? ok going in the toilet.
later on...
me : ok already?
Aaron : not yet.
later on..
Aaron : ok already. i want to wipe my backside.
me : you know how to wipe?
Aaron : don't know.
me : ..... *you sure or not?* ah..wait ah. i go ask another teacher.
me : um, excuse me, when the kid pass motion he know how to wipe ah?
Chee Hin : no, he don't know how.

and so i wipe that on my first day. it's not a complain. it's experience. haha

scene 5
Yin Yi : teacher can i sit on your lap?
me : ok, come here.
(ah...how sweet)

scene 6
napping time

me : Aaron, where's your blanket?
Aaron : i don't use blanket.
me : you don't use?
Ting Ting : teacher, i also don't want blanket. (start folding up her blanket)
Jenice : me too.
Phin Khong : (having second thoughts)
me : eh eh, no cannot. must put blanket. Jenice, must use blanket when sleeping. Ting Ting, don't fold your blanket.
me : aaron , where's your blanket? take it out. you all must put blanket.
Jenice : i don't wan.
Ting Ting : i don't wan.
Aaron : i don't wan.
me : must put blanket. if not later the mosquito will bite you. later your hand will go red and itchy wan you know.
Aaron or Jenice : yea. see, i also got. (finding for mosquito bite)

after much persuasion on mosquito bites
Aaron : yea. (telling to the rest) teacher said later when the mosquito go into your eye you must close your eye so it won't come out.
me : *!* *since when i said that?* no no.

haisey, finally they decided to use their blankets and go to sleep. not to mention that they want to close the window as well before sleeping. Phin Khong's being very obedient. heh heh.

scene 7
(after finish cleaning the classroom)

Yin Yi : i know what is your name already.
me : ah ha? and what is it?
Yin Yii : Teacher Mei Yin.
me : yay. high five! (her high five is super painful)

it's a miracle that she remembered cause i actually spell it out alot of times to them and they seems to forget fast. oo~~ so touched. T.T

scene 8
Ting Ting : (chewing) eh, (her friend name) you cut your hair ah?
friend : *nods*
Ting Ting : teacher, she looks like boy or girl now?
me : *wah, no comment* she's a girl la. see, nice rite, her hair.

Jenice and Gerald are siblings and they're chubby and not to mention, very cute too. i feel like pinching Jenice's cheeks. and Yin Yi's being naturally cute. my personal favorite. haha.. =p

i'll be helping out a teacher with a classroom full of 14 students starting from Monday. hope that it'll be okay. and today, cleaning boreds me out. there's once i thought i was cleaning my own bed room until suddenly the principle came in to give me some books to write the students name on it and the thought actually snapped out of me. haha
actually i did feel that it's very boring today. but thinking back what all those kids did, suddenly i'm thinking why i think it's boring? hopefully it won't be again on monday.
